Craft Show update

The ads for the craft show ran in the newspaper last week and this week. It looks wonderful. We've gotten quite a few responses. I'm so excited!!!!

Ash Wednesday

Life is different. Quite a few ups and plenty more downs but I'm still determined. I just got a new serger (Yippie). My sewing machine broke so I'm going to have to replace that soon. I have several projects I'm working on right now. I'm setting the goal to get them all completed by my birthday. My brother is getting married and I'm going to make my dress...I'm so excited. I took a couple of jewlery making classes. I figured I should make accessories for my new wardrobe I'm in the process of designing and creating. Today starts my fast of soups only. All prayers are welcomed as I mediate on my life. The exercise program on Thursdays are going well. We've been having really crappy weather lately but it hasn't quilled my spirits. We are going to go swimming this weekend although I still haven't quite gotten over my fear. I am determend to practice more patience, listen more attentively, and become more healthy.

SUNDAY AFTERNOON

Sunday is one of my favorite days of the week. Although today, it is wet, rainy, and cold. I heard someone say last week that "when a person writes their eulogy they are writing about the gifts God gave them". I thought about the eulogy I wrote as a goal setting exercise in 2004. I discussed my gifts. I've got to dig it up. The kids got their report cards. PJ did fantastic 3 As and the rest Bs. Alyssa got D, 2Cs, B and the rest A's. Her GPA is 2.9. It's not her ability to learn the work that's the probem just she has not been turning in her work. She has 4-5 missing assignments. I normally would be more stricter but I prayed about it and God told me to let it go. I created a slideshow of some of the things I have sewn in the past year. I'm still building up my confidence on showing my work. I'm sewing pjs and robes for the family. I will post pictures soon. Life is changing tremendously. I welcome the change but fear the unknown a little bit. I'm looking forward to the holidays and bringing in the new year. We are going to make Christmas stockings and finish decorating the living room. I'm still looking for a couch but haven't managed to come up with anything. I think I might have to buy one and make a couch cover to bring the room together. Cinnamon...that's one of my favorite scents.

THE BEGINNING!!!

Today, I decided that I'm going to do something different. I'm going to step out on faith. I'm tired of just saying what I'm going to do with my life. I'm going to change my life even if it's taking tiny baby steps. I always imagined my dreams being large and happening all at one time. God has been talking to me and I just know I'm called. I pray I answer that call and stop pressing the hold button.
